"Allergic" to Amino Acids, And Don't Even Know It?
“Allergic” To Amino Acids, And Don’t Even Know It?
Imagine being “allergic” aka hypersensitive to Threonine, an essential amino acid that promotes normal growth by helping to maintain the proper protein balance in the body. Threonine also supports cardiovascular, liver, central nervous, and immune system function.
Threonine is needed to create glycine and serine, two amino acids that are necessary for the production of collagen, elastin, and muscle tissue. Threonine helps keep connective tissues and muscles throughout the body strong and elastic, including the heart, where it is found in significant amounts. It also helps build strong bones and tooth enamel, and may speed wound healing or recovery from injury.
Threonine combines with the amino acids aspartic acid and methione to help the liver with lipotropic function, or the digestion of fats and fatty acids. Without enough threonine in the body, fats could build up in the liver and ultimately cause liver failure.
Threonine supports the immune system by aiding in the production of antibodies, and because it is found largely in the central nervous system, may be helpful in treating some types of depression. Research indicates that symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), another disease that affects the nerve and muscle function, may also be linked to threonine as well.
In short, threonine is an amino acid with “Big Connections” in the human body. Can you imagine a situation whereby your body is “allergic” to it, and you don’t even know it? Not good right?
Patient Case Review:
A seemingly healthy female, age 32, with mild but frequent digestive discomfort. She reports no “known allergies”. An “allergy” aka hypersensitivity test using the BAX Laser Allergy Elimination System was performed. Testing revealed multiple “unknown” sensitivities to meat products, and a test specific reaction to threonine. Patient is actively under care now, being treated for ALL “unknown sensitivities”. Treatment plan is to recondition the body’s stress response system and therefore eliminate the hypersensitivities aka “allergy triggers”. The clinical goal is to eliminate the cause of the digestive problem at its root source, i.e. the clinically documented triggers.
Startling Statistics:
- According to the New England Journal of Medicine 75% of people taking conventional treatments for digestive problems CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE SYMPTOMS – as often as 3 or more times a week!
- Digestive problems are the leading cause of hospitalization, surgery, and disability in the United States and affect more than 65 million Americans. (National Institutes of Health, NIH)
