“Spinal traction is a stretch unlike anything else you will ever know. It is by far the BEST self-care tool for combating that which is the main cause of stiffness, pain, joint arthritis and spinal disc problems. Don’t become that girl or guy that lives with stiffness and soreness, or worse yet, is forced to give up doing what they love because their body gave out from neglect. Use this tool correctly, consistently, and only while under the supervision of a well-trained chiropractor. You will be happy you did!”

Living byDESIGN Lifestyle: These 3 Things…

Focus on These 3 Things, And Your Body Will Look Better, Feel Better, And Last Longer.

Most people are unhappy with how they look and feel. Most people do not understand how to properly care for their own body. I invite and encourage you to commit now… commit to being that type of person no longer, and commit to helping others do the same!

The human body has certain design requirements. If these requirements are met, health and vitality are inevitable. If these requirements are not met, then dysfunction and disease are inescapable.

– Dr. Burns, Living the byDESIGN Lifestyle

3 Design Requirements for Optimal Function, Health and Vitality:

  1. Water

  2. Salts

  3. Micronutrients

Your Body is Designed to be Well Hydrated At All Times

It’s safe to say that most people you know, and perhaps including yourself, do not drink enough water to sustain optimal physiological function.

Getting to the point quickly…

By not giving your body what it needs, you are actively creating a situation that promotes pain, inflammation and disease. Said another way, your body will never function as it was designed to function if you choose to remain dehydrated.

When dehydrated, your body can not properly:  create energy, heal and repair itself, ward of disease, feel good consistently or function properly.

BASIC ADVICE:

  • You need to drink half your body weight in ounces per day
  • Track your water intake, counting as you consume. Without a goal and strategy, you will fail.

A STEP FURTHER:

  • Find clean, healthy water. Avoid tap water. Always be looking for better quality.
  • Focus on pH. Acidic water is unhealthy. I like using pH ion drops in my water. To learn more, click here

DECIDE AND COMMIT:

“I choose to be pain free, healthy, and highly functional. Therefore, hydration will become and remain a priority in my lifestyle.”

Your Body’s Design Requires Healthy Salt Intake

It’s safe to say that most people you know, and perhaps including yourself, do not consume the right kind or amount of salt to sustain optimal physiological function.

Getting to the point quickly…

Did you know that many important physiological functions in your body are regulated by salt? Your body is designed to require salt in order to promote healthy:  heart function, kidney function, brain function, blood pressure, etc.

However, you must choose the right kind of salt!

When your body is salt depleted or when you consistently consume the wrong kind of salt, your body can not properly:  create energy, heal and repair itself, ward of disease, feel good consistently or function properly.

BASIC ADVICE:

  • Common table salt is unhealthy. Stop consuming it. Throw it out immediately.
  • Go to the health food store and buy only Himalayan Crystal Salt (pink in color).

A STEP FURTHER:

  • Read a little about the pros and cons of good salt intake versus bad salt intake. To learn more, click here
  • Read a little about Himalayan Crystal Salt, and the key ingredients missing in common table salt. To learn more, click here

DECIDE AND COMMIT:

“I choose to be pain free, healthy, and highly functional. Therefore, healthy salt intake will become and remain a priority in my lifestyle.”

Your Body’s Design Requires Daily Intake of Micronutrients

It’s safe to say that most people you know, including yourself perhaps, are micronutrient deficient and don’t even know it! Micronutrient deficiency is quickly becoming a leading cause of disease and illness.

Micronutrients are the key ingredients in fruits and vegetables that promote and sustain life when consumed. Your body needs a constant stream of micronutrients, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to get them from the foods you eat.

ALARMING FACTS:

Question:  How many servings of spinach today contain the same amount of iron of one serving grown in 1948?

Answer:  60

Questions:  How many peaches today contain the same amount of vitamin-A as two peaches grown in 1951?

Answer:  53

Getting to the point quickly…

Can you just take a multi-vitamin to make up the difference? No. Contrary to popluar opinion, multi-vitamins do not supply the body with micronutrients.

When your body is micronutrient depleted your body can not properly:  create energy, heal and repair itself, ward of disease, feel good consistently or function properly.

BASIC ADVICE:

  • Stop wasting money on multi-vitamins. Reinvest that money into a whole food based supplement.
  • My solution to this problem is a daily supplement called JuicePlus. To learn more, click here

A STEP FURTHER:

  • Educate yourself about micronutrition and its connection to health and disease.
  • Educate yourself about the downsides and pifalls of the common “multi-vitamin”
  • Buy organic healthy juices. Always be on the lookout for better versions.
  • Start juicing vegetables and fruits at home. Increase vegetable juice especially.

DECIDE AND COMMIT:

“I choose to be pain free, healthy, and highly functional. Therefore, miconutrient intake will become and remain a priority in my lifestyle.”

Review & Action Steps

  1. Stay hydrated all day long. Track it. Make it a habit.
  2. Get healthy salts into the body daily. Eliminate bad salts.
  3. Get on a micronutrient, whole food based supplement, like JuicePlus
